The Luck is in the Dice

Select one to five dice

The number of dice you choose to roll equals the “club” size. Take care selecting the club size to avoid overshooting the green or other target. The larger the club, the farther you may hit the ball. Various spaces, hazards or obstacles will affect your choice of “Club” and how many spaces you can move.

Roll up to three times on each turn

You are trying to match colors. After each roll, collect the one color you have the most of. Join any “Wild” purples with your matching color. Re-roll the remainder of your non-matching dice. See exceptions for purple and black dice.

When your rolling is completed

Count the highest number of matching dice (including any “wild” purple) to determine how many spaces to move—one space per matching color. Move your playing piece along the spaces toward the Green.

What the colors of the dice mean

Red, Green, Yellow and Blue dice are equal in value

No color is any better than the other to collect.

Purple dice are ‘“Wild” and become the color you are matching

They CANNOT be re-rolled. Exception: When shooting from a Bunker, purple dice have no value, and CANNOT be re-rolled or counted.

Black dice are “Divots” and have no value

They CANNOT be re-rolled. Exception: When shooting from the Tee Box or Star, black dice can be re-rolled.

Scoring a Natural

When a shot lands on the Green by rolling ALL the same color dice and EXACTLY the number you need, you've scored a "natural". Purple dice, gems and Arrows CANNOT be used. This entitles you to a FREE backspin. As an extension of your turn, roll all five dice ONE time only. Count the highest number of matching dice (including any "wild" purple) to determine how many additional spaces to move on the Putting Surface. If you don't land on the Green "naturally" you can "buy" a backspin with a yellow gem.

Know where you lie

The space on the hole that you are beginning your shot from can affect the outcome of your final roll. Look at the symbols to understand how the obstacle affects your shot.

Enhance the roll of your dice

Play a gem if you can and want to...but remember, the player with the most gems at the end of the game wins...so spend them wisely.

Choose your “CLUB” wisely

You are matching colors

The dice are how you move your playing piece throughout the game. Just like in real golf, you choose the club that you are going to use based on the distance you are from your target. Depending on the symbol that you are on when you start your turn can affect how many dice you throw. You do not have to roll all five dice each turn.

Example rolls

#1: You roll five dice the first time. Three matching reds came up. You re-roll the remaining two dice, hoping to get more reds to add to your total.

#2: You roll four dice. One red, two yellow, and one purple come up. You must count the two yellow, plus the one “wild” purple for a total of four. Place those three dice to the side if you are attempting to move four spaces and re-roll the fourth dice in hopes of getting another yellow or a purple.

#3: You roll five dice the first time. Only two matching blues came up (the rest were one of each color). You re-roll the remaining three dice. On your second roll, three yellows come up. You take the three yellow dice as your total, and decide whether to re-roll the two blue again...you must go for yellows now.

#4: You roll five dice. Two red, two black and a yellow come up. You are hitting from the Tee Box or the Star space, therefore you can re-roll the black dice as well as the yellow. You roll two more reds and a black. Once again you can re-roll that black in hopes of getting another red or a purple.
